Personalise the minimalist unifit series for your project.

Cabling.

Install hardwired, self-contained, or corded.

Hardwired Installation

Unifit Outlet Duplex features screw terminals, just like a standard electrical receptacle, and supports both 15A and 20A installations. When installed without the optional self-contained cap, a back box and a back box cover plate (coming soon) are required. Cover plate (15A/20A) sold separately.

Self-Contained Installation

When installed with the included self-contained cap - designed specifically for Romex cable - unifit outlet duplex can be mounted without a back box, providing a cleaner and more flexible solution. Installs from the front and removes just as easily - no tools required. Cover plate (15A/20A) sold separately.

Corded Installation

For integration into furniture or millwork, simply add a 5 ft. or 10 ft. power cord accessory and install the unit with the self-contained cap. This plug-and-play setup is ideal for flexible, low-profile applications. Cover plate (15A) sold separately.

Back box cover plate.

Mandatory when installing with a back box.

These back box cover plates are designed to enclose the back box in hardwired installations that do not use a self-contained cap. They also provides added reinforcement for the adjustable lugs, particularly when mounted in softer materials. They are a mandatory accessory for all hardwired installations without self-contained cap, compatible with standard back boxes. Install your one-gang back box at a 90° rotation to achieve a horizontal-looking unifit outlet | duplex.

Amperage.

Choose according to your application.

15 Amp

15A receptacles are commonly used in residential settings for general-purpose outlets. They are ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, and other standard household areas and are connected to 14-gauge wiring, which is standard in many homes.

20 Amp

20A receptacles are designed for areas where higher power demands are expected. They are commonly found in kitchens, workshops, and areas where power-hungry appliances may be used. 20A receptacles can handle larger appliances like microwaves, refrigerators, and power tools that may require more current. They need to be connected to 12-gauge wiring, providing additional capacity for higher current. For hardwired & self-contained only.

Important Note:

It's crucial to match the receptacle with the appropriate wiring and circuit breaker. Using a 20A receptacle with 15A wiring can create a safety hazard. Also, check the power requirements of appliances to ensure compatibility with the corresponding receptacle.

Power cord.

Select the required length.

Connect the Unifit outlet of your choice —equipped with the self-contained cap — to a hidden wall outlet using a power cord for furniture or millwork applications. Choose the appropriate length (5 ft. or 10 ft.), and shorten it if needed to fit your setup. If using your own cord (such as one with a right-angle or flat-profile plug), ensure it features 14 AWG conductors (for 15A) and is ETL- or UL-listed.
